Moon of Mine
written and illustrated by Suzie Sateri
The Ellington Company has a new children’s book to celebrate called, Moon of Mine. Have you ever wondered if a mother’s love can be measured? In the book, Moon of Mine, the moon is a representation of what a mother’s love is like. As consistent as can be, the moon appears to provide light to the kid on a daily basis.
The main character (the kid) of the story has conversations with the moon as it changes through its monthly life cycle. The kid talks to the moon and they grow to love one another more and more every day. The moon becomes crabby as it feels like it is in pieces and the kid learns to play under the moon’s light until it lightens up.
